Publicasta
Working with an AI agent
Use an AI agent with the tools provided by an open Publicasta editor.
Publicasta can provide a compatible browser AI agent with structured Site tools on the page you already have open. The agent works in your signed-in session and with your normal channel permissions. This browser integration is also known as WebMCP, but you do not need to know the technical term to use it.
Before you start
The exact browser labels may change as agent browsers evolve. The important conditions are:
- Use a browser AI agent that supports Site tools.
- Sign in to Publicasta inside that same browser.
- Open the relevant Publicasta dashboard, channel article list, article editor or translation editor.
- Check that the browser shows Publicasta Site tools before sending your request.
Tools available on each page
- Dashboard: list accessible channels, find editorial materials and identify schedule gaps across channels.
- Channel article list: check draft-creation capabilities, preview a new article and create a confirmed draft.
- Article or translation editor: diagnose, read and edit a draft, create translations, upload an image, prepare a publication time and open the normal review screen.
Safe editing workflow
For any change, ask the agent to use this order:
- Read the current data with a Site tool.
- Preview the exact before-and-after comparison without saving.
- Wait for your explicit confirmation.
- Save exactly the confirmed change as a draft. Publication still happens on the normal Publicasta review screen.
Ready-to-use requests
Check an open article
Open an article or translation editor.
Check the open article with the available Publicasta Site tool. Show blocking errors, warnings, every translation status, reasons it cannot appear on the homepage and recommended next actions. Change nothing.
Make a precise edit
Open the language version you want to edit.
Read the language version open in the Publicasta editor with a Site tool. Suggest a small improvement and first show the exact before-and-after comparison without saving. Wait for my explicit confirmation. Only then save exactly that change as a draft. Do not publish, schedule or change settings.
Create a translation draft
Open any language version of the article.
Read the open article and prepare a complete French translation draft, including title, excerpt, body and SEO fields. First show what will be created and wait for my explicit confirmation. After confirmation create only the translation draft. Do not publish it.
Upload an article image
Attach a JPEG, PNG or WebP image to the agent and open the article editor.
Prepare the attached image for the open Publicasta article with accurate alt text. First show the file type, dimensions, size, alt text and watermark choice without uploading. Wait for my explicit confirmation, then upload exactly that image. Do not change the article text or publish it.
Prepare a publication time
Open the article editor.
Read the current schedule and prepare 8 September 2026 at 10:00 in my account time zone. Show the exact local time and UTC time first and wait for confirmation. After confirmation save only the publication time. Do not publish or submit the article for moderation.
Create a new article draft
Open the article list of the target channel.
Prepare a new article draft titled “September editorial plan” in the channel open in Publicasta. Use English as the primary language and add the supplied excerpt and body. Show the normalized draft first and wait for my explicit confirmation. Then create only the draft and give me its editor link.
Review several channels
Open the main dashboard.
Using Publicasta Site tools, list my accessible channels, find drafts, moderation items, scheduled articles and translation issues, then show schedule gaps for the next seven days with at least one publication per day. Change nothing.
What the agent cannot do
Site tools deliberately keep final editorial decisions with the user.
- They do not publish articles, submit them to moderation or approve moderation.
- They do not delete channels or articles, manage billing, API keys or service administration.
- Saving a publication time does not change the article lifecycle; finish scheduling on the review screen.
- Dashboard tools do not expose full article bodies and do not perform bulk changes.
If a tool is unavailable
- Confirm that the correct Publicasta page is open and that you are signed in in the same browser session.
- Open the browser Site tools menu. If the tools are visible there, refer to their visible title instead of an internal function name.
- After opening another page or starting a new chat, check the Site tools menu again before sending the request.
- If saving is refused because the editor has unsaved changes or the preview expired, save or reload deliberately, read the current version again and request a new preview.
Site tools or Publishing API?
Use Site tools when an agent is working with you inside an open, signed-in editor. Use the Publishing API for unattended workflows, integrations and agents that work outside the browser. API keys are never exposed to browser Site tools.
