Publicasta
Publishing Rules
Rules for publishing, moderation, reports and responsible use of Publicasta.
Effective date: 2026-06-08
These Publishing Rules explain what may and may not be published on Publicasta. They apply to articles, channels, translations, comments, media uploads, API-created content, profile information and any other content made available through Publicasta.
1. Responsibility for content
You are responsible for the content you publish or submit through your account, including content created with automation, AI tools or the Publicasta API. Do not publish content unless you have the right to do so and can reasonably stand behind it.
2. Prohibited content
Do not publish, link to, upload or promote content that:
- is illegal or encourages illegal activity;
- contains credible threats, harassment, intimidation or targeted abuse;
- promotes hatred or dehumanization based on protected characteristics;
- contains sexual exploitation, non-consensual intimate content or sexual content involving minors;
- promotes self-harm, violence, terrorism or instructions for serious harm;
- misleads readers through fraud, impersonation, phishing, scams or manipulated identity;
- violates copyright, trademarks, privacy rights or other rights of third parties;
- contains malware, malicious links, credential harvesting or attempts to disrupt Publicasta;
- is spam, mass-generated low-quality content or content created primarily to manipulate search, recommendations or traffic;
- contains private personal data without a lawful basis and clear public-interest justification.
3. Sensitive and regulated topics
Content about medicine, finance, law, politics, public safety, elections or other sensitive topics must be especially careful. Do not present speculation as fact, conceal material conflicts of interest, or give instructions that could cause real-world harm. When appropriate, identify sources, dates, uncertainty and limitations.
4. AI-generated and automated content
You may use AI and automation, including the Publicasta API, but you remain responsible for the result. Review generated text, images, links and translations before publication. Do not use automation to flood the service, evade moderation, mislead readers or create fake engagement.
5. Translations and local context
Translations may adapt wording, examples, links and images to fit the target audience. Do not use translations to hide prohibited content, evade moderation or present materially different claims under the same article address without making the difference clear to readers.
6. Images, video embeds and external links
Only upload or embed media you have the right to use. External links must not be used to bypass these Rules. We may remove media or links that appear unsafe, unlawful, deceptive, infringing or irrelevant to the article.
7. Comments and reader interaction
Comments must follow the same basic standards as articles. Authors may be able to control comments depending on their account features, but comment controls must not be used to facilitate abuse, fraud or unlawful activity.
8. Reports and moderation
Readers may report articles or comments. We may review content manually, automatically or with third-party tools. Depending on the situation, we may leave content unchanged, add friction, hide comments, return content to draft, block a translation, remove public access, restrict account features or suspend access.
If you believe a moderation action was wrong, contact us at [email protected] and include the article URL, your account email and a clear explanation.
9. Account trust and repeated violations
Confirmed reports and repeated violations may reduce account trust. Lower trust may require manual review before publication, limit access to automation or restrict other features. Trust can be restored by an explicit administrative decision, not by deleting history.
10. Enforcement is contextual
We consider context, intent, severity, legal risk, repetition, reader safety and technical abuse. These Rules are not exhaustive. We may act against behavior that clearly harms readers, authors, Publicasta or third parties even if it is not listed word-for-word here.
11. Changes
We may update these Rules as Publicasta develops, new features are added or legal requirements change. The effective date above shows the current version date.
